On 6 September, at 11:00, the CST team was asked by the Hunedoara Municipal Police to take part in the search mission for a 76-year-old woman who had been missing since 3 September. The woman's last known position was on the bank of the Cerna, near the Hunedoara Oxygen Plant. At the Police's request, within less than an hour, two CST volunteers from Hunedoara County (Grațian and Anca), with three dogs (Diamond, Rocky and Kara), set off for the search area, with 4 more volunteers and 4 dogs ready to leave from Cluj if it turned out to be necessary. The CST dog teams were given the task, by the mission coordinator, of searching an area of dense vegetation near the riverbank, bounded by two streets. Eight police officers and one relative of the victim also took part in the search. After searching that area, the mission was suspended, with the investigation to continue if new leads came in. Sadly, the final outcome was a tragic one: the woman was found deceased on Sunday (8 Sept). Condolences to the family!
