People and dogs who never give up the search

Jimmy was among the first certified mantrailing dogs in Romania: with Oana he passed MT1 and MT2 in 2022, earned his first IRO certification in 2023, in first place, and in 2024 won RH MT A at the Cassovia Rescue Cup and passed the advanced MT5 level. Veve works in area and rubble search: first place in RH FL A at the 2024 Cassovia Rescue Cup and third in RH T A at STORAT's anniversary competition in 2025.

Călin has been with CST since the association's early years, when he worked with Yuppy. With Brici he won RH FL A at the 2023 Cassovia Rescue Cup, and Ama, a mantrailing pioneer in Romania, led the team in 2025 to a missing young man near Tăuți, found alive. He is now bringing on two young dogs: Zirko, a German Shepherd puppy, for rubble search, tracking and mantrailing, and Ivo, a bloodhound, for mantrailing. He is an international FCI judge.

Grațian, a firefighter with ISU Hunedoara, came to CST in 2016 together with Rocky and Diamond. Rocky, a German Shepherd, was at his side for almost 12 years, in training, exercises and missions. In 2023 a man lost in the forest was found thanks to Rocky's nose, and Grațian was named firefighter of the year for that rescue. Diamond, a Malinois certified in rubble search, was his partner for 13 years. We said goodbye to Diamond in 2024 and to Rocky in 2025.

Simona has been with CST since the days of Morris, with whom she passed the RH FL E area-search exam in 2014. With Stark she passed BH in 2022, and in 2023 they placed fifth in RH FL V at the Cassovia Rescue Cup. Eda, the stray Simona took in, was for years one of the stars of CST's demonstrations.

Tibi is a mountain rescuer with Salvamont Alba and has volunteered with CST since the days of Inata. With Kamura he works in area and rubble search: they earned their first IRO certification, RH FL V, in 2023, and in 2026 passed RH T V in first place and RH FL A in second. In 2025, on a mission near Cugir, it was Kamura who found the missing person. Yukan'na, Tibi's other dog, retired in 2025.

Rareș, a firefighter with ISU Cluj, has been with CST since the days of Dora. With Max he won RH T V and placed third in RH FL A in 2021, and in February 2023 the two were part of the RO-USAR team sent to Turkey after the earthquake, a mission for which Rareș was decorated by the President of Romania. Max retired in 2025.

Raul, an engineer, has been with CST since it was founded in 2011 and was, together with Aka, part of the engine of the association's early years. Aka, a calm and serious Great Dane — "Zen" to her colleagues — passed BH, RH T E and RH FL E, and in 2017 RH T A, rubble search at level A, and took part in many search missions. We said goodbye to Aka in 2021; Raul remains with the team, on missions and organising competitions.

Anca is a firefighter officer with ISU Hunedoara and, in her free time, a CST volunteer with Kara, a Labrador. They passed BH, then in 2019, at Selce in Slovakia, their first rubble-search exam, RH T V, and in 2022 they won RH T A, level A, at the Cassovia Rescue Cup. Together they searched in Hunedoara in 2019 and at the Uricani mine in 2020, where two workers had been trapped under rubble.

Corina, an IT engineer, has been part of CST since 2018, together with Sia. In 2018 Sia earned the M.A.I. certification for area search, and in 2019 the two passed BH in Cluj-Napoca. They have taken part in search missions, such as the one at Sălicea in 2019, and at the association's events Corina is often behind the camera as well.

Adrian and Sia, a golden retriever, set out in 2022 by passing BH. In 2024 they passed RH T V in rubble search and RH FL V in area search — the latter at an IRO exam in Poland, where they placed third. They have taken part in search missions and in the SEISM 2025 earthquake exercise.

Timea works with Ash, a working-line German Shepherd, and the two train with CST every week. They passed BH in 2023 and, in 2025 in Cluj, their first search-and-rescue exam. Also in 2025 they spent a week training at Londonka in the Czech Republic, an international base for rubble-search training.

Mira and Pongo became CST members in December 2024, shortly after passing their first test, TSAC. In 2026 they passed both RH FL V in area search and RH T V in rubble search. In January 2025, near Tăuți, Mira was with Călin when Ama's trail led them to a missing young man, found alive on a freezing night.

Oana and Pax passed the TSAC test in November 2024 and became CST members a month later. They are training for their search-and-rescue exams: in 2025 they joined the international camp at Londonka in the Czech Republic.

Ani (Annamaria) became a CST member in December 2024. With Gaia she joined the international camp at Londonka in the Czech Republic in 2025, and in 2026 the two passed the TSAC test, the first step in training for search and rescue.

Gyuri and Flash became CST members in December 2024. In 2025 they won RH T V in rubble search at STORAT's anniversary competition and passed RH FL V, and in 2026 they moved up to level A in area search with RH FL A.

Cristian and Shunka became CST members in December 2024, and in 2026 they passed the TSAC test. Together with Tibi, they have shown children — at a kindergarten in Alba Iulia and at a summer camp — how a search-and-rescue dog works.
