At the request of our partners, the Alba County Salvamont Public Service (mountain rescue), CST took part on 10 August 2016 in a search mission for a person who had gone missing from a sheepfold near the town of Lopadea Nouă, Alba County.
Raul with Aka and Amir, Călin with Dino, Tibi with Yukan'na and Oana with Check joined the Salvamont Alba teams, ISU Alba (Alba Emergency Inspectorate) — Aiud Detachment — and a few locals to search for the 56-year-old man, who had been missing for 18 days from the sheepfold where he worked. The mission was led by the Lopadea Nouă police post, with participants splitting into several teams. In less than 20 minutes, Aka, the veteran of our team, went deep into a reed bed and found the body of the man we were looking for. Although we are proud of the dog's success, the outcome remains a tragic one. The man was found deceased, and all that remains for us is to extend our condolences to his family.
