On 6 July, CST took part in a search mission for a man who had gone missing five days earlier. Although the request for CST's involvement in this mission came from one of the missing man's colleagues, our team also received full support from the leadership of the Săcueni town Police.
So, on Saturday night at 3:30, the CST team of 10 people and 4 dogs (Raul with Aka, Fulga with Amir, Călin with Yupi, Oana with Fedor, Ralu, Relu, Simona, Bass, Vali and Tudor) set off on the mission. At 7:00 we reached the agreed meeting point with the Police representatives. The Chief Commissioner, together with 3 of his colleagues and a Border Police officer, gave us all the information they had and accompanied us on the search.
For 5 hours, we searched with our dogs along the banks of the irrigation canals and across the entire area of farmland near the village. Moving through the terrain was often difficult, especially in the marshy areas and those with dense vegetation. At 13:30 we regrouped to decide how to continue the mission. At that point, the Police representatives told us about the latest information from their investigation. Given that information, and the fact that the search had already covered the areas initially proposed by the mission coordinator, it was decided to end the search for that day.
This was the first mission for Simona, Tudor, Bass, Amir and Aka.
