Between 11 and 14 May 2023, seven CST volunteers travelled to Slovakia for the Cassovia Rescue Cup, a competition for search-and-rescue dog teams. The event was organised by Kynologický záchranný zbor Slovenskej republiky (the Cynological Rescue Corps of the Slovak Republic).
In the end, we can be proud of Călin and Brici's performance, finishing 1st in area search, level A (RH FL A), with Tiberiu and Yukan'na finishing 3rd in area search, elementary level (RH FL V), and Simona with Stark finishing 5th in area search, elementary level (RH FL V).
Regardless of the results, we learned a lot and we're going home with plenty of new knowledge, new friends and lots of homework. Congratulations to all participants, and thank you to the organisers and judges Daniel Sedlák and Gerald Odlozilik for a great weekend!
