Last week, the Transylvania Search and Rescue Dogs Association organised a seminar on training search and rescue dogs. We had the honour of having Mirka Nečak from Slovenia as our instructor, a well-known international judge for the International Rescue Dog Organisation (IRO). CST volunteers and their dogs received guidance to refine their performance in searching for and rescuing people. We had a seminar in which we discussed the training methods we had been using, received advice, and practised new methods adapted to our principles. We ended the week better — and much more tired!
