Barely down from the podium of the competition in Hungary, our hard-working dogs were back at work again! At the request of the Aiud Police – Rural Section, the CST team joined police officers, teams from the Alba County Salvamont Service (which our colleague Tibi, together with Yukan'na, was also part of) and local residents to search for a shepherd who had been missing from his sheepfold since Monday.
So Silvia with Arik, Rareș with Max, Călin with Dino and Oana with Didi took their city cars up the steep roads of the Apuseni Mountains. On reaching the sheepfold the shepherd had gone missing from, we learned that he had just been found calmly walking along a road. We were glad the man was well, and that the fog had lifted, revealing in the distance the snow-white ridges of the Făgăraș Mountains. We enjoyed the view for a few minutes and then hurried off home. Rareș hadn't had a chance to sleep after finishing a 24-hour shift that morning, and Silvia, Oana and Călin still have mission hours to make up for not being at work.
