35 "human and dog" teams from seven volunteer organisations in Cluj, Bucharest, Timiș, Harghita and Bihor took part, on 26-27 April 2025, in the Search and Rescue Dog Exam organised in Cluj-Napoca by Asociația Chinologică Napoca a județului Cluj (the Napoca Cynological Association of Cluj County), together with Câini de Salvare Transilvania (C.S.T.) and Asociația Oameni și Câini (the People and Dogs Association).
The competition, held on the occasion of International Search and Rescue Dog Day, was judged by Dr. Călin Ciora, an FCI international judge, and included both area search disciplines (RH FL level V and A) and mantrailing (RH MT level V and A).
We thank our partners Telepaws, Farmaciile Veterinare Cromavet, Studium Green and Dr. Andra Sîrbu, who supported us in organising this event, as well as our colleagues from the Sibiu Cynological Centre of the Romanian Police, who were present throughout the competition.
At this event, our colleague Timea and her dog Ash passed their first search and rescue exam together. We are proud of them and look forward to many more exams together!
