Between 11 and 15 August 2023, our team ran a search and rescue dog training camp in Cluj. Over four days, 24 people and 33 dogs trained together to become even better prepared for missions to search for missing persons.
Volunteers from the Transylvania Search and Rescue Dogs Association (C.S.T.) were joined by volunteers from Clubul Câinilor Utilitari (the Working Dogs Club) in Bucharest and Brașov, staff and volunteers from the Harghita County Council's Public Salvamont and Cave Rescue Service, a volunteer from ISU "Banat" of Timiș County (the "Banat" Emergency Inspectorate of Timiș County), and other search-and-rescue dog enthusiasts.
The dogs came in all shapes and sizes too, and all of them were happy to enjoy great training and good rewards.
We thank our friends at www.expodom.ro, who donated a folding tent that we can use at camps and training sessions. Sheltered by this metal tent, protected from the bad weather that inevitably follows in autumn, we can continue our training.
