Between 21 and 25 March, CST organised the CST National Training Camp 2018 in Costești, Hunedoara County.
22 people and 26 dogs spent 4 days on the training grounds (forest and rubble) provided by the organisers. Besides CST volunteers, the camp was also attended by employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs from ISU Hunedoara (the Hunedoara County Emergency Inspectorate) and ISU Arad (the Arad County Emergency Inspectorate), a volunteer from the Timiș County Emergency Inspectorate, members of the Alba Salvamont (mountain rescue) public service, and volunteers from Clubul Câinilor Utilitari (the Working Dogs Club) in Bucharest.
It was another extraordinary opportunity to exchange information and experience about training search and rescue dogs and to try out new training methods for rubble and forest search. For 4 days, volunteers and professionals thus became a single team, ready for future rescue missions.
